The people at Ikea are smart. Nothing to do with clever design at affordable prices, the vanilla-scented tea lights or even the anemic-looking hotdogs that kids seem to love (which is all about the self-serve sauce, surely). No, for me, it's the Daim chocolates.
We are now the proud owners of 400g of weekend happiness for just $9. Okay, now 350g and counting (down).
what do they taste like?
ReplyDeleteWow..they must be good if they're better than all that cool furniture and fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love them too...but I know quite a few people who don't. I think they have that Marmite, love it or hate it thing going on...I think it's because they are a bit salty...
ReplyDelete...enjoy the remaining 350g!

Kylie, they are hard butter toffees covered in milk chocolate that shatter when you bite them. Incredibly thin and incredibly delicious. They used to be available here as chocolate bars for a while. Think they were called Dime bars.
ReplyDeleteI don't notice any saltiness like Debby but maybe I'm chewing too quickly to notice...
I have never tried them (next visit!) but the hotdogs are the highlight of a trip to Ikea for me. Yes, I confess, it's all about the sauce and mustard dispensers!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you and don't forget to pace yourself!

I've never seen these at our Ikea. Are they sold in the cafeteria? Chocolate and butter toffee is always a great combination. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteOh yes I agree, can never leave Ikea without some. Almost worth going just for them in fact!
ReplyDeleteTammy, in the Sydney (Rhodes) Ikea there's a food shop where takeaway and packet food is sold that's not connected to the cafeteria. I'm thinking your local Kuwaiti Ikea doesn't have the food shop otherwise you'd probably have noticed it. x
