It's been two weeks since I potted up hyacinth, tulip and something-else-I-can't-remember-or-recognise bulbs into three pots - and already there are green little arms poking through the soil and reaching for the sun.
Keep reaching, I say, as this is week one of the six coldest weeks of the year - and proof that it's not too late for inconsistent gardeners like myself to fiddle about with bulbs and pots.
Hi Vera,
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me...buying bulbs this afternoon, your pots are so nice. They will look so good anywhere in the house. Floriade in Canberra does bulbs in a big way, afterwards you see all the gardeners running across the road with their wheelbarrows ready to pick out their favs.
Have a lovely week,
Vickixx
How lovely! I've never planted bulbs before. Wonder if I could get them to grow indoors here since the weather is so hot and miserable outside. Have a great day. Tammy
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big planter myself but looking at other people's greenery is always so refreshing and heart warming.

I love bulbs! They can make anyone look like a competent gardener. I only managed to get ranunculus in this year - I can't wait till they flower. Love the pots, Stephie x
ReplyDeletePS great finds at the markets. I might have to suss out Marrickville one of these days!
